Youthworker Sabbath is a great opportunity for youthworkers to gather for networking and renewal.
We have three Youthworker Sabbath retreats scheduled for 2015
- February 9-10 at the Kavanaugh Life Enrichment Center, Crestwood
- May 11-12 at the Loucon Training and Retreat Center, Leitchfield
- September 14-15 at Aldersgate Camp and Retreat Center, Ravenna
Each of these retreats are designed for Rest and Restoration… the side benefit of these times are the connections we gain as co-workers in youth work.
These retreats not only offer Sabbath, (Sabbath of course is a command of God’s creation of even re-created order: and not just a good thought) but they are a great connection time with our “tribe” of youth workers and lots of other good things happen because of these times together. Remember they are not training, they are not planning…sometimes we learn some stuff and sometimes we dream about what we can do to further our cause of “making disciples”.
Each retreat starts with a program time at 2:00 pm on Monday and concludes by 11:30 am on Tuesday (prevailing time). Along the way we will study, play, eat, rest, gather in fellowship, and find solitude.
We usually have a group that gathers for lunch the day we begin… and weather permitting we have a group that loves to golf at the end of each retreat, so bring your clubs.
Each retreat includes a NICE dinner on Monday evening (we are grillin’), breakfast on Tuesday, all program materials, and ample time to meet others and gather with God.
Cost is $20/person each retreat at least 3 days in advance by registering below or emailing email@example.com with Sabbath Retreat in the subject. It is $25 within 3 days of deadline. Always bring your Bible, bedding, toiletries, and a spirit of adventure. (Often times we will have retreat activities outdoors – please bring clothing and shoes to accommodate these activities.)
